Hey there! My name is Onyx, and I'm a very special Pekingese that loves PURPLE...but I'm also SO MUCH MORE!! I'm a Diabetic and High Blood Pressure Alert Service Dog, and I help save my Mommy's life every single day (that's her in the picture to my right...isn't she pretty?). You see, when I was little, I started noticing something really strange when my Mommy's sugar levels would go up or down. I started telling her about it, too...it really worried me that she didn't know it was happening sometimes. I was afraid it would hurt her, so I'd yip and bark until she checked her blood sugar. Mommy put me in "school" to learn how to properly alert her when there's a problem, and now I go everywhere with her...the grocery store, restaurants, and especially to the Purple Puppy Produce stand!! I really enjoy getting to meet all the people who come to visit us there, especially kids (kids are the best toys on earth, ya know)! Of course, even tho I love the attention, I always make sure I'm doing my job...my Mommy's life depends on me.
